Running A Temp

Ava is running a fever. So far it has gotten up to 102.6. They did cultures a few days ago (when her temp got a little high) and nothing grew back, but now that she is running a fever they decided to do it again. I wonder (and hope) that it is from withdrawals and not an infection or anything like that.

She has been pretty fussy today. It is very hard to watch and breaks my heart. I wish I could just pick her up and rock her, all I really can do is just rub her head and talk to her...which hasn't seem to help much today. She did however, just get tylenol along with her scheduled ativan...it seems to have made her comfortable because she is sleeping soundly, thank goodness. My poor baby...I hope for her sake all of this gets resolved soon.

Amy as always we are thinking about your entire family, especially Miss Ava. I pray that God gives her the strength to fight right through this hiccup...the fever. She sure seems determined to make it out of there so that you can all be home together as a family.
I know how hard this is on you, but just know that she knows you are doing everything you can for her at this point. That does not make it any easier on you, but one of these days you will be able to hold her for as long as you want and NEVER let go:)
Stay strong, I believe God knows what you can handle and he kows how strong you and Nate are as parents, unfortunately he is taking it to the limit...if only we could be weaker at times, then maybe he'd back off. You know what I mean:)

Oh Amy, my heart goes out to you. I think you might be right out a temp with withdrawls. I know Bella would get a temp anytime they took her off meds. She also spikes temps anytime she is stressed. I think the heart babies are just so sensitive to change. I don't think Isabella has ever really grown out any major infections the entire time she has ever been in the hospital. Hang in there, I know it is frustrating. We love you guys and as always we are praying for little Ava's recovery.

Darnit. Hang in there. Fevers...I absolutely hate them! Tucker woke up with one this morning. Daddy is home with him while I do some stuff at work and head home to tag team it. He is so hard to handle when he doesnt feel good. Atleast if we are both there we wont lose our minds. He was doing so well too, that is after our little hospital stay this last time. Then, I thought it would be OK to be outside for about 20 minutes on Saturday (with snow hat on and coat and baseball cap) the very next day he had a runny nose. Darnit all to heck!!! I should have known better. Sorry, kinda got off there. Anyway, I hope nothing cultures. I will say a little prayer for your sanity and her health.
