Monday...

Today we had our doctor appt and sonogram. We did the sono first. I heard several times how large Brody is measuring, his stomach was too large for the ultrasound to actually measure. I knew there was a reason I am always hungry!!! Anyway, at the end of the sonogram I asked how big he was measuring. Ok guys, remember it can be off some, but at this time it measured him at 10 lbs 13 oz. My due date is Feb. 17th, however with the size of him my doctor wants to induce on Monday. Fine by me. I am so ready. We talked about the concerns the doctor has with him measuring so big. He even talked about the possibility of having a c-section. He is leaving everything up to us, and I think we are leaning towards the c-section after hearing what could go wrong.

I am really anxious to see just how big he really is. 10 lbs 13 oz??? Really, who has kids that big, and to think that is not even at full term. I will not be surprised if he is actually in the 9's though. We have determined that he has some chubby cheeks from looking at the ultrasound. I can not wait to see him and meet him. Nate thinks he will be born with a lot of dark hair, me I am thinking he may be more blond to start off with (like me, ok actually I was more bald then blond)but there is no way he should be bald with all the reflux I have been having. Both Kaden and Ava had the dark hair, like Nate when he was born. I am just getting very excited!!! I do have some shopping to finish this weekend before he comes. Man, did I put things off.

So, Monday we will have our new addition. I am excited for Kaden to meet him and see that our life will go back to "normal" shortly after. I worry for him and what he is thinking is going to happen after Brody is born. Today he did go through one of his toy boxes and showed me what toys are his and the ONE toy Brody can play with. I did get him talked into letting Brody play with more, it was kind of cute. I am not sure how cute it will be later when they are fighting over the toys, but for now I can smile at it.

So stay tuned, and Monday we should be able to post about Mr. Brody.

That is awesome news!!!! I cannot wait to meet Mr Brody.

I had a sono the Monday before Carson was born(I had gestional so they wanted to keep an eye on his weight as well) and they said they thought around 8lb 1 oz and four days later he was born weighing 7lb 12oz. So they were pretty close. I was telling all of my family to forget buying him 0-3 months and go straight to 3-6 months. Good decision because he was in those a lot quicker. Now look at the poor kid, he is turning 3 in April and can still wear 18 months.

You need to tell Nate that he needs to not give you such big babies! LOL

I'm praying for a VERY easy delivery.

BTW, how long does it take for you to drive from your hometown to KC? Maybe we can come up there if I plan accordingly. Still need to get those clothes to you.

Take care and you call me if you need anything at all.

Love to you guys.....I will be waiting for an update Monday so tell Nate to be ready to post lots of pictures. If you need me to update your blog, call me this weekend and let me know.

We will be thinking of you and praying that all goes well Monday. I'm not sure if you had a c/section with Kaden or Ava, but they're not so awful. Wishing you the best in these next few days... Beth and Wade Schmelzle

Good luck to you. I'm so excited to meet little Brody... and c-sections aren't so bad if they're planned. My was emergency so it was pretty hard on me. Take it from me, I'd rather know and plan ahead with a c-section then have to do the emergency again. If you think that there might be any complications at all, go with the planned c-section. How exciting! It is certainly a different kind of transition with all you have been through, but you all will do it well (I can tell). I can't believe how big they're predicting he'll be! Best wishes to all!

How exciting! I decided on a C-section with CJ due to the hard labor I had with Nikki and she was only 2lb 13oz. It's really hard to get around after a c-section. What were the complications the doc gave you? Anyways do what you feel most comfortable doing. I know you will. We are just so excited for you that your finally going to meet this little boy that kicks you all the time. You will have to let us know when things slow down a little for you so we can come out and meet your new little (or maybe not so little) bundle of joy. Congradulations to all of you.

We are anxiously awaiting Brody's arrival. Hopefully we will all be getting over this crud so we can come down and meet him soon.

I never had a c-section, so I can't tell you what I think about them. But I know you and Nate will make the right decision.

Must be a thing with those Boeckman boys to produce big babies. Rememer my smallest was 6lb 9oz 3 weeks early. And the largest 8 lb 9oz still 2 weeks early. So it must just run in the family. Good luck to you and we will be waiting for the news on Monday.

I have been keeping up with your blog for a few months now but wanted to finally come out of the cobwebs and say "hey"! I was drawn to your story as our daughter, Annabelle, was born Jan 28th of last year and passed on March 27th. She was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Your story has been so beautiful to read...and relate on so many levels.
I am praying for a beautiful Monday with the newest addition to your precious family!
FYI...I have had 2 c-sections (Wyatt, our oldest, was 9 lb 2 oz at 37 weeks) and I highly recommend them....especially with big babies!
Blessing upon blessing to you & your family~ Rebecca
